Steps
- 01Decide how you will make the audio. Recording the script yourself is free and sounds 100% like you. Cloning your voice in ElevenLabs is the paid option.
- 02If you clone your voice, skip the ElevenLabs Starter plan ($5 a month). It only takes 2 minutes of audio and sounds inconsistent. The Creator plan ($11 the first month, then $22) takes 30 minutes of audio and sounds far closer to you.
- 03In HeyGen, go to Avatar, then Create avatar, and follow its guide to upload a video of yourself.
- 04When you film that video: look into the camera, pause and close your mouth between sentences, use good bright lighting, and keep your face visible the whole time.
- 05Click Create video, choose an avatar video in portrait format for social media, and pick your avatar and look.
- 06Delete the text to speech script and upload your own voiceover. The video stretches to the length of your audio, so there is nothing to edit.
- 07Submit and export at 1080p and 30 frames per second, the standard for social media.
- 08Find the finished video under Projects or Recent creations and post it.
