About CarouselFlow

CarouselFlow is an internal studio we built for Conversia Tech's own content marketing. Carousel posts perform on Instagram and LinkedIn, but each one used to cost an hour in a design tool, and the visual identity drifted a little with every post.

The Challenge

The tool had to remove the blank page, not the human. AI should draft on brand slides in seconds, the content should come from our own material instead of generic AI knowledge, and a designer should still be able to art direct every pixel of the glass look.

What We Built

We built a three panel studio: a liquid glass editor on the left, a live canvas with drag and drop slide management in the middle, and an AI assistant on the right. Magic mode takes a topic and one of five frameworks, from educational to contrarian, and has Claude draft the full hook, problem, solution and CTA slide sequence. A knowledge library ingests PDFs and notes, chunks and embeds them into pgvector, so generation quotes our own material. DALL-E and animated gradients handle backgrounds, 12 liquid glass presets with advanced sliders handle the look, and finished carousels export as PNG sets or PDF.

The Results

  • A first draft carousel takes a topic and one click instead of an hour in a design tool
  • Generation is grounded in our own documents through the RAG library, not generic AI knowledge
  • 12 liquid glass presets keep every post on one visual identity, with advanced controls when a slide needs art direction
  • Finished carousels export as PNG sets or PDF, sized for Instagram and LinkedIn

The Value, Calculated

Conservative estimates. The assumptions are part of the math.

Time it saves

~10 hrs/month

A carousel built by hand in Canva or Figma takes about an hour: layout, copy, brand colors, exports. In CarouselFlow a draft is a topic and one click, and polish is minutes of art direction on top. At a steady 12 carousels a month, roughly 12 hours of design work becomes about 2.

Money it saves

~$1,200/month

Outsourced carousel design runs $50 to $150 per post. Twelve posts a month is $600 to $1,800 in freelance spend, call it $1,200, replaced by an in-house tool whose AI usage costs a few dollars. The liquid glass presets also do the brand police work no freelancer brief ever fully manages.

Money it makes

10 to 20 leads/week

Carousels are the highest engagement format on LinkedIn and Instagram, and the RAG library means every post carries real expertise instead of generic filler. On an account with 5,000+ followers, consistent carousel posting brings in 10 to 20 inbound leads a week at minimum. With consulting engagements worth thousands, even a low close rate on 40+ monthly leads outearns the tool's cost many times over.

Return on investment

~1,500% in year one

The studio cost $3,000 to build and about $10 a month in AI usage, $3,120 in year one. Replacing ~$1,200 a month of outsourced carousel design returns $14,400 over twelve months, so it pays for itself in two and a half months before counting a single lead. The leads are where it compounds: at 10 to 20 inbound a week and a 20% close rate, we count only one closed $3,000 engagement a month, $36,000 a year, deliberately far below what those numbers imply. That is ~$50,000 of first-year value on $3,120: a ~1,500% return.
